Tinder made a huge buck during 2019. Quick dates are seemingly very profitable

If not for people who participate in them then certainly for those who make them possible. Match Group, owner of Tinder, has released app’s financial gains for 2019. As it turns out, Tinder made 1,2 billion USD; a lot of money, and more than Match Group’s three other dating apps – OkCupid, Hinge and Match.com – put together (0,9 billion USD). By the end of 2019 Tinder had 5,9 million active subscribers, 36% more than last year.

Match Group is successful, but the company continues to improve its products. Tinder, for example, will soon release a ”panic button” that allows quick contact with the police – just in case for when the date goes very much not like planned. Right now Tinder has no real competition in the dating apps market, but Facebook will soon release its Facebook Dating. Then we shall see.
