European Commission wants to force producers to create a universal charger

The reasons for this are ecological. According to EC, used up or non-supported chargers create 51 thousand tons of trash every year; unifying their design would make the consumers throw them much less often. Brussels is currently in the talks on the subject – sadly, we do not know what exacly does it propose the universal charger to be like. For now, the most popular charger connections are USB-C and micro-USB.
