Chinese smartphone producer Meizu is going through hard times. The company has already fired 30% of its employees, and will let go more in the near future – the marketing division is rumoured to go next. Meizu has also closed many of its stores; the exact number is unknown but is rumoured to be the grand majority of company’s overall shops in China. If that was not enough, Li Nan, one of the founding fathers of Meizu, has recently left the firm in search of greener pastures. Ouch…
Meizu was never a large company, and the smartphone market nowadays belongs mostly to the big fishes like Samsung etc. Are you sad to see Meizu go, or do you not really care?
