According to the Tech blog Ata Distance, the leak that has later been officially confirmed by Octopus Cards Limited, iOS 13 will be released with built-in support for the Octopus contactless payment system. Snippet of the code has been spotted in Apple’s online JSON-based Apple Pay pass identifie; it showed references to Octopus.

iOS 13 will hit Apple smartphones sometime in Fall; it is expected to support Octopus Transit Card right off the bat.
