The news were revealed at a London press event that took place just this morning. Marc Allera, chief executive of EE, promised that the 5G service will in no way hamper the old 4G connectivity. Neccessary equipment is supplied by partner companies Qualcomm, Samsung, Google, One Plus, LG, Huawei, HTC and Oppo. EE’s 5G can be pre-ordered starting today, first in six UK cities and up to 16 by the end of the year.
Next in line for the UK 5G services is Vodafone, which promises it will be ready on Jule 3rd.
