EA is a second video game company after Activision-Blizzard to make extensive employment cuts. Out of 9 thousand employees, the company has just let 350 of them go. The majority of those employees worked in the distribution and marketing branches of the company in Japan and Russia. The official reason for this action is a PR blubber about ”having to change along with changing times”; the real reason is yet to be known. EA is supposedly helping its ex-employees find new work.
