Apple Watch will finally get the sleep tracking function

Apple Watch may be one of the most successful smartwatches out there, but it still lacks in few departments. One of them is the sleep tracking, something that no AW has ever had. According to Bloomberg, which information source is reportedly reliable, Apple wants to fix this and add sleep tracking in 2020. The function will be added either to Apple Watch 4 or its successor, but only if it passes a number of rigorous tests. The main point of these tests will be to see how much can the battery consumption of sleep tracking be decreased: as of now, AW 4 last for one to two days, and with sleep tracking on this battery time will be cut much shorter.

Apple has an issue there, no doubt, but all is not hopeless. Back in 2017, Apple has bought out Beddit, company specialized in producing sleep monitoring armbands. They will use Beddit’s expertise to help them with the job.
