The electronics conference CES 2019 is currently taking place. In it, Apple has announced that its iTunes Movies & TV Shows application will soon be supported by Samsung televisors. Thanks to this people will have access to their iTunes library, as well as iTunes Store, without neccessarily having to use an Apple device. This is a huge change in Apple’s direction; it is very rare for Big A’s apps to work on non-Apple devices. This probably has something to do with the company currently working on its own shows and movies; Apple probably believes that the money made out of these will outweight the lower hardware sales.
