Before 11.4.1, typing the word ”Taiwan” again into any application would often cause the phone to freeze. Such situation was the result of bad relationship between China and Taiwan mixed with crappy programming. Long story short, China does not officially recognize Taiwan as a country. Due to this, Chinese iPhones do not even have that country’s name in their dictionaries. This change has been accidentally implemented into iPhones outside of China, which caused the crashes. Patch 11.4.1 fixed this issue.
