Samsung has promised us a next-generation S line smartphone next year, with the official word being that the device will be released on January. It looks like the production of Galaxy S10 may be well underway indeed, as one leakster Ice Universe has just released a picture of what he claims to be a prototype for the aforementioned smartphone. In his post, Ice Universe calls the smartphone ”Beyond”, which is supposed to be its development codename.
The most interesting thing about the picture is the almost complete lack of bezels – talk about Infinity Display. Bottom bezel, usually the widest of all the four, is especially thin. Lack of notch has also been noted, to the satisfaction of many. There are no visible sensors – makes sense, seeing how thin the bezels are – which suggests that they are hidden under the display. It will be interesting to see how the rumoured 3D-sensing front camera will be placed there. We do not know the exact size of the screen, but it may very well be the rumoured 6.2′.
Overall, the above picture looks mighty interesting. If all that it suggests turns out to be true, Galaxy S10 will be a large step towards the complete removal of bezel from smartphones.
