Why remember stuff when you can just put your fat finger on the display? Rumour online is that Google is hard at work at implementing fingerprint scan access – feature well known from smartphones – to online websites. First step on this path was for Chrome to implement WebAuthn standard that allows such function. Fingerprint logging will reach Chrome soon, but will only be available for testers at first. Much depends on websites’ owners – without them implementing similiar standards the function will not work.
