Apple wants to buy its OLED panels from LG, but there is a problem

Most of Apple’s OLED panels supply comes from Samsung. It is natural that the fruity company wants to achieve at least partial independence from its supplier-competitor – if for no other reasons than to stop helping Samsung make money and allow it to partly control prices of Apple products. To that end Apple has recently hired LG to cover part of its OLED panel needs. Unfortunately for the big A, LG simply cannot keep up with their demands; the company is reporting issues with both raw material supplies as well as not enough production lines.

Does this mean that Apple will abandon LG? Or will it search for a third OLED supplier? We shall see.
