Huawei Honor has just publicated the list of phones that will be getting the Oreo upgrade. List includes phones such as Honor 8 Pro, 8 Lite and 7X, but users have quickly noticed that it lacks Honor 8. Upon requests, indian division of the company quickly addressed the problem with an official statement that Honor 8 does not fulfill the Android 8.0 Oreo’s technical requirements and therefore will not have its operating system updated. This explanation is considered weak by many, as a number of older phones have or soon will have their OS’ updated to Oreo.

The good news is that Honor 8 will have its UI updated to EMUI 8.0 sometime in Q2 2018.
