Impossible! iPhone X has an issue that only surfaced a few days after premiere!

iPhone X may be the world’s most expensive smartphone, but that does not mean it has to be free of game-breaking technical issues, right? Right. Apple itself released a support article in which it warns that:

”If you look at an OLED display off-angle, you might notice slight shifts in color and hue. This is a characteristic of OLED and is normal behavior. With extended long-term use, OLED displays can also show slight visual changes. This is also expected behavior and can include “image persistence” or ‘burn-in,’ where the display shows a faint remnant of an image even after a new image appears on the screen.”

So what Apple is saying is basically that ”This is not a screw-up, no no no, this is completely normal and not at all our fault, just deal with it and please do not return your phones”. Yeah, just as it was normal for Google Pixel 2XL, and look where it brought that model – into a well-deserved obscurity.

Maybe I am too harsh, and this OLED issue is really not Apple’s fault but simply an ill side-effect of otherwise great OLED panels. If so, let me know.
