iPhone 8 does not sell well and it is not weird

What did you expect, miles long queues before Apple stores? It does not take a genius to see that iPhone 8 is just a slightly improved version of last year’s iPhone 7. Who will want to spend seven to nine hundred bucks on a phone that is just good and nothing more? Well, some people, certainly, but if Internet talk is any kind of indicator then there will not be many people of that kid. There is no official record of number of iPhone 8’s sold so far yet, but much can be deducted from what both the revievers and readers in comments say. ”Boring”, ”same thing as before”, ”nothing new”, ”not worth it”, ”why if there is iPhone X coming soon”. iPHone X, by the way, is most certainly one of the major factors of 8’s meager sells – why spend nearly a grand on something that is basically a small upgrade to iPhone 7 while a real revelation is just around the corner?

I do not really like Apple – you know, big evil corp – but I do not wish them particulary ill either. I hope that iPhone X will indeed turn out to be a revelation it is advertised to be. Otherwise Apple may have some dark, unprofitable days coming.

How do you think, why is iPhone 8 not selling well? Will iPhone X make it better for Apple? Let me know.
