Moto X4 is coming to the US, first Android One phone in the country

Google has officially stated that the Android One program is launching in the United States, and Moto X4 is the first phone in that program. Moto X4 is also to be available via something called Project Fi (Google’s carrier MVNO network).

So, how is buying Moto X4 in Android One project any different from buyint it normally? Well, it does change a few things about the phone’s software and availability:

– first, Motorola’s UI overlay is removed, its place taken by a Pixel-like overlay,
– second, as one of the aspects of Android One program is making phones more affordable, Moto X4 Android One smartphone costs a reasonable price of $399.

Now, that is all good and well, but should you be interested in Moto X4 at all? I guess that learning the phone’s specifications will help you make up your mind:

– 5.2′ display,
– Snapdragon 630 CPU,
– 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM,
– 12mpx main camera, 8mpx selfie shooter,
– IP68 water-and-dust resistance,
– fingerprint scanner,
– Super Black and Sterling Blue colour variants,
– 3000mAh battery.

You can pre-order the device starting today. Oh, and if you trade your current phone for a Moto X4, you will receive up to $165 in return – up to $215 if you do it before October 5th. Sounds like a good deal.
