HTC and OnePlus are, by now, the only smartphone companies that lately released their very own apps on Google Play Store. OnePlus has released its Weather app; HTC released Messaging, its brand new messaging app. Even though both can be downloaded from Google Store, they will only work on their respective companies’ phones. Interesting. The supposed reason HTC did this is because it makes it easier to update the app without releasing separate updates for specific HTC mobiles.

As for the Messaging itself, there is not much to say, really. Application’s interface looks similiar to that of Messenger. It allows its user to back up and restore SMS texts and send group messages. It also supports search by keywords. If you do not like someone, you can naturally block them.
