After a few years of apathy, BlackBerry seems to be doing better. First, BB released a quite successful KEYone smartphone. This in turn helped the company turn out strong earnings in its first fiscal quarter. Now sun shines over BlackBerry once more, as governments of United States of America and Canada have turned to it for cybersecurity.
SecuSUITE for Government is a multi-platform solution created to offer end-to-end encryption for text and voice calls. This feature, now a part of BlackBerry Secure, has been rented by the above countries’ governments to protect their cyber assets. SecuSUITE’s objective, to be precize, is to protect government-issued devices from being tapped to, essentially not allowing any outside person to eavesdrop on the official’s communication. SecuSUITE is the only NIAP program that works on iOS and Android-powered tablets and smartphones.
This contract can only mean more recognition – and cash – for BlackBerry. Chins up, BB fans! Better times are a-coming.
