LG G6 Plus launched! Lots of gigabytes and shiny new colours

G6 Plus is an example of LG adopting its rival’s strategies. Usually, LG would release one version of its flagship phone; rival companies, on the other hand, would release the original version and then a number of ” plus minus ultra compact” editions with more or less different looks, sizes and specs. Latter strategy allows for more variety (and, in turn, simply more) of customers, increasing the phone’s sells.

Well, LG caught wind of that eventually, and now it is releasing an enhanced version of its newest LG G6 device. What does G6 Plus bring to the table? 6GB of RAM, compared to G6’s 4GB, and 128GB storage instead of 64GB. It is worth noting that those changes do NOT make the phone larger – it is still its old 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9 mm self. Device is available in two new colour variations: Optical Terra Gold and Optical Marine Blue. It also enjoys a few software improvements over the normal G6, including LG’s very own facial recognition feature and a decreased power drain.

Phone is only available in South Korea now, but will be released globally at an unspecified ”sometime soon” date. Its price is unknown, but is believed to be 100$ higher than G6’s.
