Nothing is free in life, or Google plans to cash in on Google Assistant

Google offers most of its services for free (unless you count in the amount of information it collects on you; if so, then it already earns enough), hence no wonder the company tries to find new ways to make profit. Rumour is that Google plans on making money with its Google Assistant. How? With, well, ads.

cringes from all the booing* I know, I know! It sucks. Or at least sounds like it may suck. I mean, who likes ads? Advertisements are the bane of modern Internet and the idea of them encroaching into electronic appliance is very much frowned upon, and rightly so. All we can do is hope that the Google Assistant’s s advertisements will be as non-invasive as possible. We do not know how exacly will they work, but it can be safely assumed that the Assistant will show us advertisements connected to what we search online or ask the Assistant itself about, e.g. if we get pizza often we can bet we will be seeing ads of nearby pizzerias, or if we Google small children management methods we will be sent child therapists and/or toy stores.

As to how exacly will all this work, we will have to wait and see. As always.
