A man who had it made, or how an IT guy spent 6 years in a job playing video games

This one kind of sounds like a BS, but hey, even if not true, at least it’s entertaining. Long story short, a Reddit user nicknamed FiletOfFish1066 has shared the story of how he managed to avoid work for six years while making full salary. FiletOfFish1066 was an IT technician. His job was to test software made by other developers. According to his own words, Filet did not feel like doing all this work. Instead, he spent first eight months of work on writing a program that automated his work for him. Then he could just kick back, relax and play some League of Legends for well over five years. Hardly anyone ever checked on Filet, he haven’t made any friends at the office and the actual work was always done, which explains why the men wasn’t found out earlier. Unfortunately, no one knows how was he found out.

Right now, FiletOfFish1066 is out of work and facing a beer and League of Legends addiction, as well as loss of marketable skills (six years of lazying around might do that to you), but not all is bad for the guy. Thanks to living cheap, he managed to save up two hundred thousands dollars. I don’t know… the story sounds like something made up (really, no one noticed for six years? And Filet really forgot all his programming skills, even though he clearly had to keep his automated program up to date?), but stranger things have happened… if you ask me, though, I’d choose a better game to spend my time on.
