More than one company has its sights on that, as of now, faraway tech, though, as LG has just published its patent for a foldable phone. According to the picture that came with the patent, the LG foldable will be able to fold in half while, interestingly, leaving the screen on the ouside of the clam and still active.

By the way, the patent was filed eighteen months ago, so who knows? Maybe LG is already well on its way in producing a foldable. That would be pretty neat.
