(Almost) Total Recall. 96% of Galaxy Note 7 phones have been returned to Samsung

Four months have passed since Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been recalled, and Samsung can happily (kinda?) announce that almost every device from that line is back in their hands by now. Harsh methods of convincing the users to give up their phones (limiting the phone’s battery, eventually making it uncharge-able) have proven effective, though Korean fans of Samsung have been difficult to break in (just a week or two a go, 15% of Korean users still had their Note 7’s). Thanks to almost no Note 7 phones being out there anymore, the US Department of Transportation has decided to no longer require airlines to put out pre-boarding notifications about the dangers of on-board fires caused by the fiery phablet.
