Sony’s latest flagship, the Xperia Premium Z5 brought to the mobile phone market a new standard in terms of screens resolution.
But as reported information on the network, the Korean companies have no intention of chasing Sony, but instead they wish to focus on improving the readability of the screens outdoors, especially in the case of the flagship models that brought 1440p displays.
Another goal of LG and Samsung will be reduction of energy consumption by their smartphones, which would be difficult to obtain at 4k resolution, which requires much more energy than a standard FullHD resolution.
It is worth noting that this year’s flagship models from the two companies offer excellent readability in all lighting conditions.
