Although there is no word on when exacly will the upgrade take place, Juho Sarvikas, Chief Producer Official of HMD Global, has just tweeted that the upgrade is indeed coming, and soon too. The update will reach every Nokia 5.1 owner OTA, and may need to be downloaded manually. It weights over one gigabyte, so better make sure you have the room!

Nokia 2.1 will probably be the next device that the company will upgrade to Android 9, although whether or not is it a good idea is anyone's guess.
