More MWC 2019 news - Sony Xperia 1

Sony keeps on working hard. The Japanese company has just revealed its newest mid-high ranger, Xperia 1. The phone's somewhat odd name - One? First? - is a means by which Sony wants to ”open a new chapter in its mobile history”. You are allowed to interpet it as ”our naming convention got so convoluted that we really needed a fresh start, no matter how dumb it may look”. Okay, okay, so the phone's name is new. What else is new? Quite a bit:

- 6,5' OLED CinemaWide display, 21:9, 1644 x 3840 p,
- Snapdragon 855 CPU, Adreno 640 GPU,
- Dolby Atmos sound support,
- triple 12mpx + 12mpx + 12mpx, wide-angle and telescopic lens, 2x optical zoom, LED flash,
- 8mpx selfie shooter with LED flash,
- Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, LTE modem, optional dual SIM,
- USB-C,
- fingerprint scanner,
- 3300 mAh battery,
- Android 9 Pie OS.

Device will cost 999 euro in Europe. We do not know when will it reach store shelves.
