It took them a while, but they have finally done it. Facebook has announced that part of its grand Messenger redesign project, which it dubs Messenger 4, will include adding an optional Dark Mode to the communicator. Hooray for not being blinded by the white background anymore! Sadly, FB decided not to share any other details on the mode, saying that they will, quote, ”be back with more soon”.

One of the other changes in Messenger 4 will be putting some of its tabs into a single ”Discover” tab so that we can continue to ignore them. Goody.
